Leny’s Comet
Leny is getting very close to having his Cammer powered Comet on the road, even getting it out to his local car show this weekend. We can’t wait to hear it in action!

Remembering Gord Bradley
In memory of our good friend, Gord Bradley.
The Cammer called "Blue Steel"
Larry Maddox takes pride in saying that he built this SOHC powered roadster 100% at home. Build, paint, and even upholstery were all done in his home shop. The end result was a beautiful car they call "Blue Steel". It was on display in the Centerforce booth at SEMA in 2013, and competed for the coveted title of America's Most Beautiful Roadster in 2014.
50th Anniversary Runs
Our friend Chip Dale making passes in his restored M/T funny car in Australia.
"M/T car did 3 runs at Perth Motorplex on the 3/22/2019. It was 50 years to the day according to the published Funny Car Result book that Danny Ongias & Don Schumacher raced each other at Orange County Raceway in a very close race. My runs were to celebrate the anniversary of the two absolute legends of the sport and the old photo was of that day 50 years ago."
Another midwest Cammer.
We had the pleasure of meeting Stan Burrell at the Boss Nationals in September of 2018. Stan brought his original Q code 427 1964 Galaxie that was repowered with an original SOHC 427 crate engine. The engine is just how it left Ford and has never had the heads off. The swap was done "back in the day" and still driven to shows today.
2019 is under way...
We are back after a little break over the holidays and finally getting some traction. One build we are really excited for in 2019 is Greg Paboojian's Twin Turbo SOHC going in an extensively modified Pantera. Since we are Pantera fans as well, we love everything about this build. BE Motorsports supplied the crab cap electronic distributor run off of the idler sprocket.
Kammers in Kansas
Our Cammer gathering at the Boss Nationals in Kansas was a huge success. We had 15 427 SOHC powered cars from all over the US join with over 150 Boss cars to put on quite the display of FORD power.

Chip Dale's M/T Funny Car
It's finished! Chip Dale's restoration of one of Mickey Thompson's original funny cars is done. The car even took it first steps to making a pass.
Remembering Rick Kirk
The Ford community lost a great asset in Rick Kirk earlier this week, and we at BE Motorsports lost a friend.
Fast Cammer FED in New Zealand
Alex and Jocelyn Hogg sent over pictures of their SOHC 427 powered dragster down in New Zealand. The engine is basically stock, with Hilborn Injection added. The car regularly runs an easy 8.40 at 165mph with little maintenance needed. We also had the chance to spend some time with them at CHRR and talk about their great race car.

Funny Car Restoration
Chip Dale just sent us an update on the restoration of his Mickey Thompson funny car. The body is all detailed and ready for lettering. The chassis is also prepped, and the engine will be in soon. It won't be too much longer and the car will rumble back to life.
The Cammers are coming to the Boss Nationals!
We are happy to announce the 2018 SOHC 427 Reunion will be held in conjunction with the Boss Nationals in Marysville, Kansas. Our SOHC cars will be joining a large contingent of factory Boss powered cars for a one of a kind celebration of Ford's "Total Performance" era September 7-9, 2018. All Cammer powered cars and trucks are invited to attend.
We will have a block of rooms reserved for our attendees, but they won't last long. Email info@sohc-shop.com for more details.
Remembering Gas Ronda
We were sad to hear the news that our friend and Ford racing legend Gas Ronda has passed away. We were honored to be part of the restoration of his last funny car, and have him at Pomona for its unveiling. Gas will be greatly missed.
Rick Kirk's Falcon
Rick Kirk has owned and built his fair share of Cammers, including this Falcon with a Blown SOHC. Our thoughts and best wishes go out to Rick hoping for a quick recovery.
